It’s a long passage through the Straits of Florida up to Bermuda, but we’ll get plenty of time to prepare as we enjoy colorful Havana ashore. The plan is to have a house rented in Old Havana for the full crew and we’ll start the trip here for a couple nights, before joining FALKEN at Marina Hemingway about 9 miles west of the city. Once we complete the safety briefings and clear out of Cuba, it’s nonstop, 1,200 miles to Bermuda!
The one open bunk is reserved for a women, check out our new initiative to have a minimum of 2 female crew on each passage.

We are headed back to CUBA! Our first passage to Havana in 2016 aboard ISBJORN was one of the most memorable ever, and we haven’t been back since. From Port Antonio on Jamaica’s northeast corner, it’s 800 miles to Havana, first passing south of Cuba, skirting the Cayman Islands, then entering the Straits of Florida and riding the Gulf Stream current down the home stretch to Havana.

FALKEN is bound away for new landfalls! Our first-ever passage to Jamaica since starting 59º North in 2015, almost 10 years in the making and an exciting island in the western Caribbean.
From Antigua it’s 900-miles on the rhumb line to Jamaica, downwind the entire way which will make for some great tradewinds sailing and lots of spinnaker potential. We’ll make landfall in iconic Port Antonio on Jamaica’s northeast corner.
